This compote is stunning, and belongs in any glass collector's collection. This piece is made by Northwood Glass, a notable American glass maker. It dates to between 1906 and 1908, and is the pattern titled "Hilltop Vines". This piece is made in an Opalescent Glass, and displays beautifully.
There is a series of manufacturing flaws on the rim and just below. These are flecks of ash that wound up in the molten glass, and are not uncommon in glass of this age. There is roughness at the site(s) of the ash. The flaws can be seen in my photos, and additional photos can be sent if needed.
This piece measures 4 3/4" tall with a width of 4 3/4" at the mouth and 3 3/8" at the base.
