Vintage Handmade Box Purse 1960s

The lovely woman who sold this purse to me, told me it was made for her in the 1960s, by her brother- in the machining shop of the old DuPont Refinery in Beaumont, TX. This handbag certainly appears to be homemade, but very nicely done. It is very functional, and in good vintage condition. Part of the flowers that were glued to the mirror have fallen off, but that is an easy repair. Beyond that and a small chip in the formica (as seen in my photos) there are no condition issues to report. The hinges and clasps work well and the handle is sturdy.
